Jose Armando, (pictured with his grandmother) is 17 years old. He lives with his grandparents, Pablo Riz Chingo and Santos Coj Portuguez, and his older brother Juan Carlos.
Their house is made of adobe (mud bricks) with tin sheet roof. Juan Carlos works as a mason and their mother, Elvira, is working in the United States. She keeps in touch and sends money every month. Their father abandoned them and does not communicate with them or even help them economically.
Jose Armando is a healthy boy and is no longer at school; he only studied until sixth grade. He spends most of his time helping his grandfather, who is a farmer. In addition, his grandmother raises domestic animals like hens and turkeys for their own use. Jose Armando has four pets; one cat and three dogs. He likes to attend the feeding program mostly on Wednesdays because on Saturdays he usually helps at home. His favourite meal is fried chicken. He also enjoys attending the Bible Classes with Hector Calachij (our LW teacher) and he has learned a lot about Jesus. His favourite colour is blue and one of his hobbies is to play football with his cousins José, Samuel and César.
All the family attend the Catholic Church and they are thankful and grateful for all the help that they have received through Living Water International/Adopt-A-Child and through Armando’s sponsor.
