In May this year, the Christianity Explored course, translated into the Albanian language, was launched in Tirana, the capital of Albania.
Adopt-A-Child UK have been involved throughout the process, helping to raise awareness and funds to enable this project to go forward. See our blog from earlier this year.
There were over 80 pastors at the launch day and they were delighted to be able to take away sets of course materials, free of charge, to share with people in their own areas. Since then, around 15 – 20 groups are already up and running, and that is just the ones we know about! Our own team in Albania has 6 groups going in the villages in the Mokra area, where we have been holding weekly meetings for a little over a year, and also at one of the ladies meetings at our programme in Katjel.
One of the pastors who attended has five groups running among students and young people in the town of Elbasan.
We are excited to see God using this material to reach people with the Gospel and pray for much fruit for the Kingdom in the days to come.
Translation of the youth and children’s editions of Christianity Explored is ongoing and it is hoped that these will be available by the end of the summer.
