Sponsorship through Adopt A Child has been used effectively for more than 30 years to help provide supplemental and nutritional meals as well as ongoing medical and dental care to children who otherwise would not have access to these basic needs. By first fulfilling these necessities we can then minister to their emotional and spiritual needs. At each of our feeding programs in both Albania and Guatemala we provide classes and gatherings designed to help them grow and develop in these areas.
As a sponsor, you will be provided one annual update on the welfare of your child and his family. These updates are accomplished through home visits by our Evangelism Team. You will also be able to correspond with your child through letters. You can further bless them by designating additional monetary donations to be used to purchase a special birthday or Christmas gift for your child or provide groceries or clothing to the family.
Currently, you will receive an annual update on your sponsored child by email or by regular mail. It is important that we have an updated email address as well as your current mailing address. We are working on providing a link so that you can access your child’s updates online. Please let us know how you would prefer to receive your child’s update by emailing us at email@example.com.
We urge you to get to know your child through cards, letters and photos. Communication between you and your child will develop a bond and build a relationship that is an essential part of Adopt A Child. They cherish the letters they receive from their sponsors.
When sending cards & letters:
- Include Child ID # on all correspondence.
- For security reasons do not include your address in the body of a letter. You may include it on the envelope, however.
- Correspondence should be addressed to:
Your Child’s name and number
Adopt A Child
Rruga “Unaza E Re”
Please contact your Local Office for the best way to send correspondence.
Due to ongoing issues with the postal service in Guatemala sending letters directly is not possible. Your local office can assist you in getting your letters to your child in Guatemala.
Once correspondence is received by our team, your letter will be translated and delivered to your child and when your child writes to you, their letter will be translated and delivered to you.
*Please do not contact the Guatemala or Albania offices regarding questions about your child.
All inquiries should be directed to your Local Office.
We encourage you to visit your child at least once. We have groups traveling to Guatemala & Albania on a regular basis. Contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information about upcoming trips. We invite you to join us on a missionary adventure and fall in love with Albania or Guatemala and the people who live there, just as we have!
Children are welcome to attend our programs for as long as they like and we have no age limit for participation. However, children may leave the program for various reasons:
- Families move away from the area
- Older children may stop coming because of work
- Older children may get married
- Children simply decide to no longer attend
If this happens, you will be notified that your child has left the program and you will be given the opportunity to sponsor another child.
Please understand that we have over 3000 children waiting to be sponsored.
