Building on our successful partnership with Christianity Explored Ministries, through which an Albanian translation of the Christianity Explored Course was produced, resulting in upwards of 100 people giving their lives to Jesus so far, a new partnership opportunity has presented itself hot on the heels of the last one. After an approach from a ministry called ‘Light for the Blind Albania’, asking if we would consider producing the Christianity Explored Course in Braille, a meeting took place last month in our ministry base in Pogradec to discuss possibilities. After some discussion it was decided that a Braille version of the CE Course was a viable project but, as only around 15% of Albania’s blind and partially sighted community can read braille, it was decided to produce an audio version as well.
The Light for the Blind Foundation was started by Blind believers from different parts of Albania, who wanted to reach other blind or partially sighted people with the Gospel. The aims of the Foundation are to spread the Gospel, integrate the blind and partially sighted into churches, and also help them integrate into society and the workplace. Living Water Adopt-A-Child (LWAAC) are delighted to be able to partner with Light for the Blind Albania as the heart of our ministry is also spreading the Gospel, and to this end we are not only excited about the Braille and Audio versions of the CE Course, but hope to start a regular meeting at our ministry base for the blind and partially sighted population of Pogradec. We are planning a Christmas dinner for these folks in our Pogradec facility as a precursor to the regular meetings.
We really need our LWAAC supporters to pray into this situation, that this new partnership would thrive and the project would be successful. We believe that the Lord will honour different parts of the body of Christ working together in unity for the Glory of God and the salvation of people who are precious in his sight!
